Garcia Was Not Impressive Today!

Peterson is the most complete fighter, regardless of the Peterson-Matthysse result. Being 2nd best in a deep division isn't too shabby.

 

I'm not sure Peterson is the most complete fighter. He doesn't throw that many punches, Khan really did rack up the compbox numbers against him for what that's worth. Peterson is up there, but I think it's debatable who is most complete : Peterson, Canelo, or Mayweather. You could probably make the argument that either 3 of these guys is the most complete. (given their current age and condition)

 

A very average Champion. A decent boxer was always going to show Garcia up for what he is.

WOuld like to see him in with Rios/Alarado/Maidana for entertainment reasons if nothing else.

 

for where he is in his career and what this fight was he did just fine.

 

Rios and Alvarado would get starched early, Maidana is inconsistent, but has the biggest punch by far, out of the three. Could be a fun fight to watch if Marcos doesn't lose stamina.

 

He may not be beat Matthysee, but I think he's most complete. Naturally he has always been more of a counter-puncher boxer type. But he can adjust and showed this when he revamped his style and pressured Khan. How many fighters can completely do a 180 from their natural style like that?

Yeah, I was about to say, "Where the hell is this guy coming out with Mayweather and Canelo." I guess he thought you meant in all of boxing. Even if Peterson gets KO'd by Matthysse (don't see it happening), I still think he's the best in his division. Who do you think is first best to consider Peterson second? Yeah, Khan is a great fighter, disagree with all the haters, but you have to admit, the man's chin is pure glass.

 

I was impressed by Garcia's right hand to the body & head.
Before tonight all I ever truly associated Danny with was a Tornado left hook.

Showed great chin, Tho his footwork ain't that great his power more than makes up for it.
Judah was on his A game I was blown away with Zab's resistance tonight.

 

I still have to review Peterson-Holt. I think in some way Peterson can be the most complete, but not necessarily the best. Hopefully that makes sense.

I'm not sure if Lucas is better than Peterson or if he beats Peterson. I have to watch Peterson-Holt. It should be a good fight. I'm more confident in regards to Lucas odds against Garcia, and unsure about Lucas-Peterson at the moment. So I guess I'd say I'm most confident Lucas might do the best if Garcia & Peterson & Lucas fought each other multiple times. Peterson is definitely the most complete, multidimensional of the group.

Khan is 4th in the division. Hell, maybe Khan's even below Rios. I'd have to think about that.

*Edit* I realize my 2nd best in division comment was unclear. I meant that about Garcia. I think in terms of the record you can say he's 2nd best. I really probably said 2nd because someone has to lose between Lucas/Peterson, and naturally that leaves Garcia as the other "champion" even if he isn't really 2nd best.

 

Garcia is quality and a very good champ, Zab just came to fight.
