Good fight close fight The edge going to Porter on aggression 115-113 but wouldn't argue a draw . I enjoyed it. More enjoyable tha watching Floyd run pot shot hold for 12 rounds any day

Danny needs a new trainer. His dad has taken him as far as he can go. Time for an elite trainer to improve his game.

Except almost all those Porter shots were arm punches with no real snap behind them.

That's why Danny was walking down Porter for most of the duration.

    Boxing ain't Tae bo.

Not "razor close." But decisive for Porter in my opinion. Somewhat clearly. I would expect the sentiment on this forum to be, "yeah, Porter beat him, I was expecting a BS draw or SD for Danny." But I guess I shouldn't be surprised, seems like a big majority challenged me on my thoughts on the fight heading in.

I had it a draw but a bit of Karma for Garcia as he usually gets the rub of the green when Jimmy said UD I thought for sure it was going to Danny. Good for Porter he deserves it but will now likely get a beating from Spence.

So all the news worldwide that says ' Porter decisions Garcia' is fake news ? And my winning on sportsbook is inaccurate?

Garcia slowed due to the headbutts.

Making someone miss tires them out and means that you are not being hit, but you don't get points for it. That is fundamental to boxing, otherwise boxers won't want to throw punches.

The only two very dominant rounds were to Porter where he had Garcia backpedalling and in trouble. That being said, it was a very close fight that was hard to score. A swarmer like Porter is always going to look like he is doing more work while Garcia was able to make him miss whilst throwing some good counters.

    Porter landed 180 punches overall.

    Garcia landed 168 punches overall.

    Porter landed 63 body punches.

    Garcia landed 53 body punches.

Porter landed 46 jabs (5 to the body).

Garcia landed 29 jabs (6 to the body).

Porter landed more punches than Garcia in Rds 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9.

I didn't say he won all those rounds. For example i had Garcia winning the first three rounds due to landing better and cleaner shots overall although landing less overall.

I know those stats are not always correct but ....tell me Porter didn't land clean ffs.

Porter landed definitely more. He edged a lot of close rounds with his activity.

He threw more than 50 shots per round NINE out of TWELVE rounds. Garcia only threw more than 50 shots three times in the whole fight.

Porter won a close fight due to landing more and being more active overall. It might be possible Garcia landed the better shots but let's be honest...Porter did look better in the last rounds than Garcia. Garcia was slow and looked shaken and hurt from time to time. He was demoralized and he knew he was behind, especially after Rd 11...rewatch it and look at his face and his corner. They knew it and it was deserved.

Porter is a great fighter to watch and an elite athlete. Live with that.

btw, i picked Garcia in the league and also had a WBK challenge with my Garcia pick so i could easily say "ROBBERY" or whatever being pissed about losing but it wasn't a robbery. Porter impressed me.

It was a decent watch, for sure. I thought Garcia would edge it going in, but I actually thought Porter edged it when all was said and done.

You know what? When the fight was close, Gracia won it. He got 2 or 3 gifted decisions in the past if I remembered correctly.

Picked Garcia by decision but scored it 7-5 all day long for Porter. It is what it is. Time for the next matchup.

I did not disappoint to see Porter lost the fight because I don't like his style. He uses only his power and aggression. No technics or tactics.
