The kid looks like he's the goods. Unfortunate what happened to him at the Olympics. I don't wanna say the Chinamen sabotaged him but . . .
Gary Russell Jr > Adrien Broner Reminds me of Meldrick Taylor, minus the footwork and tendency to brawl. This kid has a bright future ahead of him.
The 3 fighters mentioned are all true TESTED combatants. GRJ is very promising though and seems to fear no one. Right now the only one of the 3 that I feel would give him REAL difficulty is Nonito. Too much power as of today, a year from now, who knows. Gamboa has lotsa pop but gets hit too much. Russell Jr. versus Lopez would be a good ol' southern style religious revival meeting. The kind held underneath a canvas tent. I can see Juanma having a true religious experience. GRJ would "lay hands" on him all night long. Leaving Lopez to question why he took the fight against this young fella!!! Seriously though, Lopez gets hit too much by much slower competition. GRJ may lack 1 punch power, but he could connect 4 to 5 in a row on Lopez before he knew it...:bbb Just my humble opinion:good
and unlike gamboa he hasnt won olympic and world medals, neither he has been a pro world champ with less than 20 fights.Neither has he beaten salido, solis,de leon and company
