I suppose I can agree on Khomitsky, though he's paid to show up so that the other guy can get a win with decent workout. But Butler and Blackwell were just 20 years old when Murray fought them. I can't really speak on Renda other than he's been stopped multiple times and sounds like he gave Murray a decent fight. Wood's atleast has some prime time with Mundine and Soliman. Garth's limited but I just see Wood lasting the distance with Murray and giving a spirited effort the whole way.

Mundine was complacent and Wood got lucky, the rematch proved that. Wood is a limited fighter and wont be able to impose his will on Murray. Better stop agreeing with me Stifler, people will think your a grub :hey

Barker is talking about fighting Murray if he beats Sturm (google it). Maybe Murray see's this as an easy, well paid tune up before a big,all english,Middleweight showdown in 2014.

This seems a real case of "Beggars cant be choosers" on Murrays part.
He could end up regretting it. A dominant win and people will say "Big Deal".
Anything less than a dominant win/early stoppage and his stock will drop.

Every round that Woods hangs in there Murrays reputation drops a notch...and if Wood should win some rounds or make Murray look bad it drops even more.

Remember that Murray is not the most versatile boxer. He has a very straightforward approach..either it works or it doesnt. Woods is not much of a boxer, but he is a very awkward, messy, negative spoiler and he could just be the wrong opponent for Murray to look good against.

does no one on here support wood even tho he is a aussie (given tho he has no chance) but a punchers chance at least ? as aussies we should have faith in the bloke.. calling him a grub is harsh the bloke has achieved a lot, from the contender series he could of taken the money and put his heels up but he kept going, but he gave soliman a tough fight he may not deserve this fight but he should have our support, when did we start supporting the poms ?

I don't fancy his chances but I am 100% rooting for Garth in this fight. Those calling him a grub etc. are probably butt hurt Mundine fans who are embarrassed he KTFO Anthony and pushed him to the limit in the rematch until the late KD's.
