Ricky burns keeps getting better and better and rising to the challenge. He's making me a big fan fast, cracking job to you all :good
Hats off to burns, the guy is improving all the time and is way, way better than I thought he would ever be after the Arthur fight. I thought kats would be too ferocious at the weight but within a minute or two you could see there was no strength or class difference and burns had more variety to his game. Burns has to be classed as a world class operator now, and has obviously been underrated by most for a while, me included. Only thing I would say is that I still get the sense even burns is surprised at his success at times, someone like kats has that winner aura about them and burns doesn't, but hey, it's working for him.
i hate to say i told you so but i told you so!!!! well done billy and well done ricky burns, i may not be a world beater of a fighter but ive sparred some very good fighters and on the way home from scotland i knew id been in with somebody very very good so i came on the site to tell the fans what a good fighter ricky was and that i thought he was guuna beat katsidis and some internet experts tried taking the **** saying your only curtis woodhouse of course rickys gunna seem good to you, i may only be me but i knew ricky would be a nightmare for anybody who just tries to walk him down, its hard to get past his jab and when you do you get nailed with uppercuts and hard bodyshots!! well done team burns a credit to the sport and to top it off a great bunch of people x
BIlly, did you see the reception Ricky got in London? Perhaps you can stop feeling sorry for your Scottish self for a little while eh. Oh and I was really impressed with Ricky Burns, great performance although Katsidis was a little one dimensional.
Good post Curtis, your opinion is 100 times more valuable than the cocks on here who disrespect fighters like you and Burns.:good
quoted for truth. the quicker people like lirva and gary barlow realsie that no one gives a **** what they think, the better. the thought that some british boxing industry people could be hounded off here by those two dribbling ******s makes me feel sick. if anything those two spastics should be hounded off.
I did try and warn you Gary ! Next time Ricky's an underdog in a fight, I really wouldn't bet as much as you have on last night and the Martinez fight unless you can afford to lose that amount of money!! Been a decent enough night for me betting wise actually, had a bit on Burns then used some of that on Kirkland for the upset. Only lost money on Groves-Smith not going the distance
The fight went as I thought it would, with Burns unable to keep Katsidis from bullying him into the ropes/ I however thought that from there, he'd hurt Ricky often enough for Ricky to to get stopped or retired by his corner. Ricky boxed to instruction, and was as good as he can be against an oppponent so much physically stronger. I wanted Ricky to win, and like Billy, but I did pick Katsidis so am quite happy to be having crow for breakfast this morning.
I wish Ricky all the best and congratulate him for the win BUT that was not the Katsidis of the Mitchell fight. Any talk of a fight with Arthur needs to be quelled as soon as it begins because it is a poor fight and no better than the Cook debacle. One thing before I go is a congrats to Billy and Ricky again. Burns looks a class above the English talent and Burns beats Murray and Mitchell with the skills exhibited today. Billy, even though your a **** 9 times out of 10, fair play for this win and enjoy it. Let's see Burns mix with the top fighters like us fans have been calling for. We don't hate the guy just his 3 shocking defenses, lets hop that's in the past and that Ricky can make headway for some straps at 135, all the best :good
"Only Curtis Woodhouse". Youve been a very high level footballer, who then started boxing late but gave former world amateur champion FRankie Gavin all he could handle and Ricky gave you a shout out last night for you work in sparring. What do you guess these ****ing muppets calling you "only Curtis Woodhouse" have achieved? Ive a hunch that Mayweather jnrs not the one here posting it to you. Your doing well Curtis, keep chasing the dream!
Well done, Billy and Ricky - it's nice to be proven wrong when it's for someone as nice as the Rickster. A Mitchell-Burns fight would be a lot of fun and you have to pick Burns to be favourite this time.
