But Sykes won't have the Warren set up, millions of fans, box office, superstar trainer, famous sparring partners etc. Sykes has it proper tough, big respect to him if he develops from this.
To be honest, I dont know why Sykes took the decision to fight in this, unless it was purely down to money, I mean he is a really down to earth guy and all, but I dont see enough of a disparity between his talent, on the other fighters in that tourney, to confidently say, yep, he is a shoe in to win this. In hindsight, Buckland's style was seemingly made for this format, a tough volume puncher who is consistent with his offense, a guy who can be pretty relentless when he has a momentum going, infact in a sense, I guess you could say he reminds you of a lesser version of Gavin Rees, only with the less Boxing skill, well he is Welsh, and a busy fighter
not my thoughts, this sounds more like a make excuses for sykes thread, than what bucklands options are, buckland will beat sykes 10 out of 10 times, if he can't avoid his punches, never mind take them for 1 minute, how the hell is he going to do it for 12, He was knocked spark out by a non puncher, he's a plastic champion, and buckland is now the real champ, and the better man wich he has soundly proved, so continue with your wishfull thinking if it keeps you's happy.:?
