Gary Cornish - Coming to Win...?

Even if Cornish had entered the most freakishly hard training camp known to man for 10 weeks, and lived like a monk, he was still getting laid flat out or getting stopped on his feet in the first round or second round.

Cornish is so many levels below AJ, its a huge miss match. AJ is being brought along slowly, but he needs someone a bit more durable now and of a higher level skill wise.

 

Yes and those saying that Cornish is the man to throw a punch at AJ and actually land are either deluded or don't know boxing:good

Look at Cornish's record and look at the highlights of him...he is horrible, literally horrible. But he is unbeaten and Scottish, which is marketable.

 

The Scotland v England thing is only marketable if the Scot has even the slightest chance of winning, Cornish doesn't.
The Joshua camp already have his next fight booked.

And what has Cornish done so far to suggest he can make this fight competitive for even one second, never mind a round or 2.
He's huge, stiff, a non puncher, non mover and will be flat out within a minute if Joshua goes after him.

There is NO CHANCE he's getting paid 1/4 million, and the nonsense being spouted about they wanted Cornish while he still had his 0, thats gonna look mighty impressive on Joshua's CV.......NOT!!

He'll be very lucky to be getting £50k, Im guessing his average purse be about £5k so 10 x his average is good money.

 

I agree in all but the marketable part. Anyone who knows anything knows he has absolutely no chance, and no chance of even asking any questions of Josh, and thats not marketable.

 

at the end of the day its the truth, i personally dont think he is worth that much and would agree that £50k would be more than enough but his manager wouldnt play ball for anything less than 1/4 million.

it will do 2 things for joshua, get joshua an easy commonwealth belt and raise his profile to the casual fans who dont know that gary cornish doesnt have a chance. all the casual fans will see is joshua fighting a guy 6ft 7 with an undefeated record.

as most people on here are hardcore fans we know that it is a joke fight and that it will probably end in the first round but to make joshua a household name to the casuals this fight ticks all of the boxes.

 

it does to raise his profile to the casual fans who only watch boxing on sky and listen to what eddie and sky tells them!
