Is he in line for a title shot with Pavlik this year? or will have to have a box off vs with say a John Duddy or Sebastian Zbik to get one?:huh

Whenever Pavlik vacates(I'm not sure even Warren has enough sway with the WBO to strip a name like Pavlik) by which time Duddy will have already fought Pavlik so he won't be ranked in the top 2/3 .

I'd guess it would then be Lockett v Zbik in Wales(probably on a Maccarinelli undercard) for the vacant WBO title .

Its fare to say Gary would get carried out on a stretcher.I like Gary his a good domestic fighter but his nothing more than that.If he gets put in the ring with Pavlik he could get hurt bad.

Pavlik Isn't the best Middleweight out there though, his defence Is poor and was down to Taylor who was an awful champion.

Gary's got some good accuracy In the left hook and straight right.

Anything is possible when you go the WBO (Frank Warren) route.

Yeah but Gary is slow as molasses and isnt technically gifted nor proficient. His just a good steady box puncher and nothing more.

Yeah right:roll: Whens the last time Warren has let his fighter go any other title route? He favors the WBU and the WBO only as there champs are historically always weaker. As for the WBU we dont even need to explain that one.

Rees went for the WBA and Hatton for the IBF.

Max I just don't get your love for all Sports Network fighters .

I'm not sure Lockett is even European level(although he possibly could ko the chinny Sylvester) never mind World . Infact I'm not sure Lockett even beats Elcock .

The WBO will seem like fools if they Strip Pavlik to give the title to a Lockett vs Zbik winner and I don't see Pavlik giving up the WBO title so I get feeling the WBO might give pass to Pavlik fighting Lockett in 2008. I really feel that Lockett should have to fight a other contender in a box off even if it's Zbik to get a shot at Pavlik. My hope is for Pavlik to fight 4 times in 2008 I would like him to fight Taylor,Duddy,Abraham and Winky in 2008 but that forth fight might be Lockett and not Winky. I really don't know how long Pavlik will stay at Middle, Arum seems to want him too stay there for a while before moving up.:hi:

lockets ranking even in a very weak 160 division is unjust, his only chance is against sturm who will outbox lockett but is very vunerable at the moment and not boxing well.

no chance v abraham or pavlik.

on a side note pavlik v taylor rematch taking place at super middle in a non title fight is devalueing the middleweight title history.

if taylor cannot make 160 then **** him and rematch clause should be torn up.

that fight 100% IMO should take place at middleweight.

Pavlik is a frightening puncher thats all..... he's very, very beateble. Great fun to watch and exactly what the middleweight division needed after years of 'boredem' but i'd give Duddy or Lockett a fair shot with him. His defence is horrendous and his punches wide and telegraphed- all he has is guts and power but everyone seems to think he's some monster. If Taylor had of had better finishing skills he'd still be champ but thankfully he hasn't and we have a fun to watch and very beateble new champion.
