Gary Lockett is a good fighter

    His rating being high in the WBO is not such a bad thing. The guy is fast and has a Big punch and has pretty good chin.
    I Saw a DVD of Gary fighting a whole bunch of guys and off them, I think Lockett could give Pavlik a tough fight:bbb

    He would not give Pavlik a good fight. He used to be a decent prospect, but his ranking is very puzzling indeed, which is a shame because he doesn't deserve to get slated for it like he does.
    He is too easy to hit, and his face has a habit of turning to mush when he ships a few shots. Bad news against Pavlik.

    Yeah, I kind of agree with Claypole. Lockett can bang with the best of them, he's got a heavy right hand but has severe defensive frailties. The fight against that Tsarenko was awful to watch - he got very beaten up in that fight over 12 hard, ageing rounds.

    Then again, Pavlik's not all that either, just a bit better than Lockett at everything he does. I like Gary, he's got a lot of balls, good heart, above average power, decent chin and is a nice guy but not in the world class league.
