Lockett did beat Rhodes, but in a rematch I would expect RR to beat him comfortably. I would say the best middleweight in Britain would be a toss up between Matthew Macklin (British or Irish I'm not sure) and Wayne Elcock, though Darren Barker is in good form currently.
I don't like his tone anyway. It is a shame he got his payday with the Pavlik fight really - he should have been working security at WH Smiths. Wanker.
did he really though ? TBH I'd fancy Macklin, Elcock, Rhodes in rematch and Barker against Lockett . It still unclear how good McDermott is , he may be good enough too . Even Eastman may have enough to take Lockett . Lockett would have enough for the likes of Smith, Steven Bendall and Jason McKay at domestic level . He may be able to beat some of the guys on the above list but bar Eastman I wouldn't favour him against any of them .
Macklin i can see doing pretty well now he's left graham.I think he walks elcock down, slowly breaking him up for a late tko.Elcock looks shakey as f**k to me !
Peter Buckley!? I remember seeing him in Everton Park sports centre against Acelinho Freitas about 10 years ago!! I was a kid at the time and a few of the people from our gym went down. If memory serves it got stopped pretty early on...
i gotta change my profile name, people questioning if i'm peter buckley, which i'm not.Thought it was the norm to use boxers names as profiles, is on other sites.Yes paddy, he fought nearly all the rising stars years ago, not many stopped him. What gym u from mate ??
My cousin boxes for Kirby - i train with him. At the time then though, I think I went with the Long Lane lads. You from Liverpool ways then?
