Tocker Pudwill won the North Dakota Middleweight title
Gary Lockett won the WBU Middleweight title.

ok - this is problem with British boxing - Im new to (last 6 years) to watching boxing as my main sport, there simply isn;t enough on t.v. Appart from reading boxing news or other publications - where can we find out about fighters who aren;t world class? I know sky do a decent domestic show

I'd say Lockett and Pudwill were a fairly similar degree of not that good.

Pudwill is the weakest fighter that Joe Calzaghe took on at world championship level and, lets hope, Lockett will be the weakest Kelly Pavlik takes on.

The only difference was that Pudwill only got to fight Calzaghe only as a last minute replacement, whereas Lockett was selected from a shortlist of possibles to fight Pavlik by HBO.
