    Damn! Just heard about this...very sad. I liked Mason back in the day, I was backing him vs Lewis in '91, don't think he ever got the recognition he deserved at the time.

    Really sad

    When i was kid about 11 gary mason used to live down the road from us in lordswood, and he was a real nice guy.

    Would let you into his house show you his belts give you signed photos etc... He always had time for everyone around the local shops a true gent rip gary the best brit heavyweight never to win a world title and generaly good guy.
