    Man, could this guy hit hard. Used to own a shop near me in Chatham 'Punch & Jewellery'. Only ever heard good things about him. A real shame.

    Gary was my neighbour in Walderslade, used to walk our dogs together and chat boxing. I was a kid, he used to get the local radio guys to drive me home from his fights. He got me a job in a bar in Tenerife, he used to train out there, yet still managed to get to know the bar owners. He played in a charity cricket team made of celebs, they were one short so I went along and played alongside him and Eric Clapton ! In one game he was batting and he and the bowler collided, poor bowler was knocked spark out. Gary was a genuinely nice guy, he enjoyed his life, he will be missed by lots of people.
