Gary Mason V Herbie Hide

I have always thought Mason beats Hide.

 

Yep. That's how I see it. Mason might be quite busted up at the end, but Hide would be laid flat for the count of 10.
Inside of 8 rounds.

 

Mason would have too much much power, too tough, durable and strong for Hide

 

i will take hide to be ahead on pts when mason knocks him out

 

Not that unlike Hide's fight with Bowe. Herbie would outslick Mason early on. Making him look clumsy sometimes. However,Mason would come on strong and stop Hide in the latter stages.

 

No doubt Herbie could give Gary problems with his speed and movement, but Gary was very durable, Herbie as we know wasn't. I'd have Mason putting him to sleep by halfway.

 

I agree, thats pretty much how I think it will happen too..

 

i think mason might not catch him enough to put hide into a position where he is sparked. i think herbie could last the distance.


but yeah i would expect a mason left to the body right hand to the head to bowl hide ou tof there.

 

Horrible match up for Mason. I would except Hide to fight on the back foot, take no risks and win the comfortable decision.

Mason always had trouble with speed, and that was Hide's thing.

That said Hide could sometimes got a bit too cocky, and he does not want to let Mason start unloading rights on that soft chin of his.

 

Hides not as bad as people think

 

Been watching a lot of Hide this last week, shame he had bad stamina and a chin that wasn't so good at heavy.

Some of his early round movement and work it great, he keeps his head a bit too still and lunges in a lot which let him down.

Very entertaining fighter though, the Bowe fight is a good watch.

 

Agree with the majority here.

While Gary struggles early on and probably gets tagged a fair few times like Bowe and Vitali, Mason was a far tougher fighter and liked to scrap.

Lets not forget that while Mason was damaged goods going in and Lennox was still raw, Gary still went on the hunt and had a very close fight with Lewis.
Herbie would NEVER have done that against any version of Lennox.

Mason = Tougher,stronger and a true heavyweight.

Mason late KO. Hide wins the early rounds but tires and that would prove fatal.

 

mason in a flash. saw both live and hide was way over rated.
