In all seriousness, yes it was. He should have already stepped up beyond Ruiz's level before now - long before now...but in reality, ignoring their records and having deeper knowledge than a bunch of Boxrec scholars - Ruiz did constitute a large step up from Gusev. Ruiz is much better than his record, and yes if you're a remotely good prospect you're supposed to outpoint him - but nobody stops him and shutting him completely out means you're probably a cut above most prospects. So in that respect he is sort of like the featherweight Zack Page (although with a completely different style) Gusev on the other hand carried an extremely padded record and in reality was garbage and would probably be walked down and stopped by Ruiz. Upward progress is upward progress, even if with slow increments.
What's going on with Gary? Looked bloody sensational when I watched him a couple of years back but have heard very little since. Thought he may be the one to take over from Floyd/Pac as a PPV star but it's all gone very quiet.
Poor guy, gets early hype and now everyone is tuned into his to his name for better or worse...better than letting early hype go to your head and getting KO'd though.
OVERRATED, there's some **** goin' on with this guy, fighting a club fighter and OFF TV, WTFK? Watson KNOWS something ain't right with this guy.
