Yer, I wouldn't give him much chance against Salido either TBH.

Its unlikely this fight will happen. Lomo's team would take the fight, but I suspect Russell will pass on the shot, Povetkin style. They seem to be extraordinarily cautious with managing Russell's career.

GRJ would box the hell out of Saildo. only factor is Salido's heart. he always has a big one and could keep pushing and pushing and could possibly go for like a late KO, otherwise hes getting outbox. I like him but his only fame is beating Juanma who has no defense at all

That's the thing. Lomo is a massive unknown. Is he good? Is he great? There isn't much upside to fighting him now if you fancy yourself a future superstar. If GRJ beats Lomo, how much credit will he really get for it? He'll have beaten an opponent will a 2-1 record. And rest assured, people will come out of the woodwork saying that Lomo's style is better suited to amateur boxing, and he wasn't ready yet. The storyline would be less about GRJ's ascension and more about questioning Lomo's management team. There's not much credit to be won.

And if GRJ loses? Just imagine the storm that will follow, being beaten by a three fight novice. There's nothing to be gained by GRJ in fighting Lomo outside of street cred on boxing forums. His management will almost certainly pass on the mandatory and wait for a minor belt to come available.

I hasten to add that as a boxing fan, I would LOVE for this fight to happen. I would LOVE it. But I'm a jaded realist, and I've developed the ability to detect doable fights. This aint one of 'em

If you don't think Lomo has fast hands and feet, I suggest you watch another sport.

He also has more power and better footwork.

I think his handlers want to cash him out at one point :think

If Salido wins, it will happen 100%

If Loma wins, it might not happen because of the TR/GBP issues
