    Lomachenko's defence isn't great? :lol::patsch
    GRJ was the one getting tagged by a guy who has never beaten anyone with a winning record in his most recent fight.
    I'm not sure how long you've been following the sport but there are different levels, GRJ is levels below Lomachenko. GRJ isn't a counter puncher, he's a very simple boxer who is not going to be able to do a thing. Mark my words.

    I don't follow. How's that not him backing up his hype? He says he's great, and now he's setting out to prove it. Lomo put it in his contract with TR that they had to get him a title shot in his second fight. He didn't earn a title shot by the traditional route but it's a huge risk for him to try it, especially against Salido who's a proven top FW.

    Suppose he could've took the GRJ approach and milk his promoter fighting scrubs for about 20 fights. Russell could've stepped up his comp years ago.

    A title? There are lots of those to choose from. If they really wanted a title for him, they could have had him fight for one as early as two years ago. They can fight for a title whenever they want at this point. What's to be discussed is the best way to go about getting it. And given the way boxing works now, I'm certain they would look for a much lower risk opponent than Lomachenko. More than likely they will fight for a vacant or interim title. That seems to be the emerging blueprint for Al Haymon fighters.

    Russell is ready, all this talk about who he hasn't fought is irrelevant. His skillset is evident and what I see, it on par with Lomachenko and his speed and pop will carry the day for him in the fight.
