hey guys I don't know if you knew Gary Russell had a fight at the end of Jan, but I provided the youtube link. This guy in 13 fights is on pace with Mayweather and other greats at 13 fights, just 3 fights ago he was trying to finish every fighter, and was throwing wide ass left hooks, but coming in to this fight look how he steps in to every punch, and throws his punches right down the middle and throws his hooks short. I'm telling you this guy is the best fighter in DC hands down, his dad said everybody has offered to train him,but he will stick with him as long as it keeps working. I think this guy is the future, he's one of the few Amateur stars who didn't bring the Amateur habits to the pros, his dad said they plan to step it up soon and beat up on over hyped Cubans. "The Cuban Destroyer" I like the sound of that lol [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeAYSpXG9Q0[/ame]
Yeah he's the real deal...I'm on the bandwagon since i saw his fight against Rodrigo Aranda...This kid has unlimitted potential...
Ive been following gary for a while now, i saw him as an amateur fighting in a AIBA tournament. He's a good prospect for sure
Hes got great talent, but i get the feeling your trying hard to build him into the next great American hope:good
Actually looks pretty good, I hadnt seen him before, hopefully he gets moved right and we see more of him soon.
Yeah Man....Russell has been one of my favorite young fighters for awhile now. There were 3 other fighters (besides Russel Jr.) I used to love to watch in amateur competition and was patiently waiting for the SPLASH they were going to make when they became Pro Fighters: Hylon Williams 20, Houston, Texas 12-0 [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i055EaZ_HhI"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i055EaZ_HhI[/ame] Ray Ximinez 18, Dallas, Texas (2-0) - This was the fight I saw live and made me aware that Ximinez was a special fighter. Gary Russel is very gifted and Im looking foward to seeing him develop over time. If he gets moved along right he can be a P4P on day down the road. He has the athleticism, speed, skill and posie to be dominant of the featherweight division. Because of his height he may not go above the lighweight division if that that.
Hes at 126, he looks great and i could definetly see him getting a belt even that stacked division. Theres some really interesting matchups for him in the next couple of years at featherweight.:good
