“I feel like something was wrong with Errol going into that fight. I don’t know what it could've been. I think something neurologically was off.”
As another poster said on PBCscene website...same thing that was wrong with GRJ when he fought Loma was wrong w Spence Case closed. There's levels to this.
I find it funny how some people will easily jump to the conclusion that Spence was suffering from neurological issues because ''he looked frail and out there''. His doctors would be at risk of losing their job and possibly getting sued had they sent an irreparably damaged fighter in a Boxing ring, Muhammad Ali's doctor outright quit when Ali told him he would continue his career a bit after Manila. I'm pretty sure that someone with as terrible a car crash as Spence's would get all the tests and treatment in the world to get a clear result and answer of what's going on. Did people also realize that Gerald McClellan was having serious neurological issues before the Benn fight ? Because one of the commentators literally called him a quitter after he failed to stand up because ''he seemed fine'', and we know how well he turned out in comparison to Spence. It seems to me that people are just jumping to conclusions because they're too terrified of the idea that Crawford really was that much better that night.
Crawford would beat any version of Spence, because of styles and because Spence has long been one of the most overrated fighters in the sport. But to say this was a completely healthy version of Spence is a bald faced lie by people who are deep in denial. Two things can be true at the same times.
Not really, I have no particular attachment to either Spence or Crawford. I'm more of an Usyk and Inoue guy myself. I can humor the idea that he was drained and not comfortable at the weight anymore, but that's as far as it goes, I'm not buying the idea that he had neurological issues for a second. But if you could actually refute my points, that would be great. I might actually change my mind if you have solid proof that he was badly damaged.
