loma groupies are trying to build him (lomachenko) up into somethinng he's not...like he's some great, dominant fighter dusting off top contenders with ease.

All anybody has to do is watch the fight... sure, if you give loma every round he lands a punch it MIGHT be 12-0. But there were rounds for a good stretch of the fght where loma did NOTHING....it was all russell. and even if russell didn't land effectiively, at least it was him doing all the work.

To me the early rounds followed a certain pattern...russell would start off fast, and take the lead in each of the first 4 rounds...then loma would come back in the last half of the round and land a couple of effective shots. the question was...did russell have a big enough lead to hold off loma's late round rally?...i gave russell the majority of the early rounds because he was just more active and landed more punches, although you could make an argument for loma's punches being harder.

The last 4 rounds is where loma really won this...russell seemed to tire in rounds 9-12. and loma came on strong...if russell had one ONE or two of the last 4 rounds it's a much closer fight and he probably wins it the decision.

Wasn't even close, but not a 12-0 shutout. I think I gave gary like 3 rounds. It was a schooling but not a lacy/calzaghe schooling.

That being said, GRJ has nothing from loma and never will. He's smaller, less athletically gifter, weaker and just doesn't have the skill loma has.

But alas, every time a white fighter dominates there will always be excuses.

Only thing more embarrassing than that are his fans trying to make excuses for him

The boy got washed and nearly quit at the end.

Eventhough GRJ landed only 10% of his TOTAL punches?

It is not unusual for different people to score the same fight differently. Adamek's fights with Eddie Chambers and Steve Cunningham come to mind where people who preferred [ineffective] aggression scored both bouts in favor of Adamek.

You're right when you say, "please stop revisionist history," but you then go on and make sh!t up. Lomachenko completely dominated, schooled Russell Jr.

It was not competitive, and it was a schooling of the highest order. If Russell Jr. fights Lomachenko again, he gets school again, simple.

The scary thing is some of them aren't even trolling, they're that ignorant.

Yeah... No. I like GRJ but he got schooled, even if you give him a couple of rounds in that fight it was more because of what Lomachenko didn't do rather than anything GRJ did. It wasn't anywhere near competitive. If it was close I'd love to see a rematch but there weren't any questions left unanswered, Lomachenko proved he is in a different league. It's funny how everyone went quiet about GRJ after that fight as if he was some bum (so Lomachenko deserved no credit) yet now that he won a title everyone wants to make excuses for GRJ in the Lomachenko fight and even pretend that it wasn't a schooling. It's ridiculous, it's purely to try and discredit Lomachenko.

Where did you get that from? Nobody is arguing that Russell should've gotten the win against Robochenko, what we (i.e. knowledgeable posters) are saying is that the fight was closer than some Lomachenko fans would make you believe.

Russell landed nothing and his effort was embarrassing he looked scared to throw any punches because of what might come back to him. He barley showed up and won maybe 3 rounds.

That's my point though. How can you 'school'/'embarrass'/'Lacy' someone when you lose 3-4 rounds in the process?
