like i said in the other thread with this video....

weak. i was a gary russell fan...but this just ruined it for me. of all the fighters to call out...u wanna fight a twice stopped juanma lopez!? really??? that's pathetic. call out salido!!!! that's what a real fighter would do. gary russell has real skills. there is no denying that. salido has balls. he went to juanma's backyard twice!!! and stopped him twice!!!! don't call out some guy coming off two knock out losses!!!! that's a ***** move. call out the guy who just beat him!!! that's what champions do!!! if u don't feel ready for that level...that's cool too. but just face a worthy opponent.

u must work with the russell camp....either that or u are a serious fan boy. smh.

either way....gary is a phenom and should be looking to take on challenges. had this bout been after the first ko loss for juanma....ok...it's more justifiable. but after a 2nd ko loss??? no. russell...whether u like it or not, is going to be held to higher standards because he's such an amazing prospect. adding juanma's name to his resume (with and asterik imo) isn't what he needs. that isn't a real step forward and boxing fans (at least the real ones who know the sport) will not be fooled by a win like that.

Gary looking for leftovers already. Call out Salido you puss.

That being said, GRJ has some of the fastest hands I've ever seen. Right up there with Mosley and Taylor as far as combos go. We can only hope he is as tough.

ur selling ur guy short. him ktfo'ing juanma at this point will mean absolutely nothing. there are plenty of other big name fighters for him to face that will advance his career.

The dude's a ****ing prospect who just fought his first ten rounder. Even a shot Juanma is a huge step up.

He just fought his first ten round fight. The only credit he'd be getting is for clearing another stepping in his career.

The guy has fought 19 fights against complete jokes, it would be ridiculous for him to step straight up from cabbies to a Championship fight, do you not understand how Boxing works? You go from no-hopers to gatekeepers to elite fighters, in that order. Glass Jaw JuanMa might have no Chin but he is not completely shot, just on the downslide which makes him a gatekeeper. This is a good fight and you are a moron if you are complaining.

I think Russell is with GBP and Lopez with Top Rank so this fight is pretty unlikely to happen.

Lopez is probably on the decline but still a big jump in competition for Russell and he'd deserve a lot of credit for going from the guys he's been beating up on to Lopez.

Russell would probably win but I just don't think this fight happens.
