Gary Russell= Roy jones wannabe

    ..i wanted to toss my TV last night when the HBO crew's newest "phenom" kept heaping praise on this guy. first off, its obvious he's seen Roy jones too many times, except roy could actually KO BUMS! not the Chris Byrd type flurries that couldn't break outta a paper bag.

    secondly, his speed. Personally i wasn't impressed. i thought Berto looked faster last night and he's like 4 divisions heavier.

    cmon, Ponce Deleon would beat this guy. He's a Beatdown waiting to happen..he's right Gamboa's not on his level, b/c Gamboa would still be vertical standing over his horizontal body! :bbb

    I'm not a huge fan of the guy but I think some of the criticism he's getting is unfair. He's clearly not a finished product yet.

    No way Berto was faster than him. But I agree with you saying he can't compete with Gamboa
