In his coffin? That would be a tad distasteful. As someone stated before, these are double standards given his roster of fighters regularly dropping belts instead of facing mandos; put it in perspective, though, people- Shaw's trying to hype the fight and I, for one, hope it worksgood.
Yeah he can hype the fight all he wants for all i care, If the fight did happen then i think Khan deffo would win :good
****'s kicking off over at the scene cos of this Alexander's trainer said what was said on here (that Bradley dumped a belt rather than face Alexander). Shaw then said Campbell and Alexander were both Timmy's mandos and Shaw made the better business decision in chosing to fight Campbell. Said Alexander is a nobody. Nate Campbell then got involved saying everyone at 140 are a "bunch of bitches" and he is prepared to fight anybody in the division (looks like Nate's next fight will be against Ortiz on the Khan-JMM undercard btw). 140 is really looking the dogs bollocks now. Golden Boy have a load of fighters at the weight and if Bradley gets over to HBO from Showtime then we can have some massive showdowns. You can mix and match any of these names and make great fights: Khan Bradley JMM Alexander Urango Maidana Cayo Ortiz Campbell Malignaggi Holt Peterson There's no stand out star in the division yet as well so anyone could make a name for themselves.
Khan is a paper champion until he fights and beats some of the top guys anyway. A fraud - is a bit over the top - he is a talented young fighter. But wether he is anything more than a paper champion - well he has got to prove it by mixing it with Bradley, etc Marquez Bradley etc etc He has got to fight these guys - and win or lose or draw - be competitve with them - then he is for real If he gets destroyed by them - then all this super star bolloks - he is a fraud But he beat Kotlenik - so that was a decent win - but now he has to step up and face the real top boys.
despite bitching out in his last fight i think ortiz could be a major force if he can get his confidence back
I agree with most of this. He's no Fraud but a title doesn't mean as much as maybe it once used to. Multiple belts is probably the second biggest flaw in boxing after judging standards. You'll always get situations like this, and the best fighters won't neccesarily land the big fights. With multiple belts no one really has to prove themselves as the best in the division. I see Khan playing it safe with good matchmaking from GBP, and possibly taking on the really risky challenges much later in his career. To be honest I'd rather he take on one of the top 140 pounders rather than a lightweight (Marquez).
"Shaw questions the British champion's fighting heart." he always questions other peoples. when the ***** himself has none, what a total knob he is,
fact is if khan had a chin he'd be one of the finest in the world. He will eventually get chinned but that doesn't mean he's a fraud.
he wore something similar for the Froch/Dirrell fight. I remember his quote before the Calzaghe/Lacy fight "Calzaghe is the gatekeeper and Lacy has the keys" He was then seen near the end of round 12 calling for Lacy to be pulled out. The truth is Gazza Shaw, you could have pulled him out long before and saved our man's career.
