Khan has admitted himself that he isn't quite ready to fight Bradley yet. He said he thinks after two fights in the US he should be in a posistion to fight him. End of this year or the start of next. Which I think makes a lot of sense.
I'm pretty sure he said to Dan Birmingham in the middle part of the fight. They asked Lacy and he said he wanted to continue.
I couldnt believe how he was behaving in the negotiations for the super 6 and the days before the Froch-Dirrell fight. The guy looked like a ****ing muppet. In no other business would a guy like that be taken seriously.
I reckon he is a cross between Boris Yeltsin and a Chav who likes dodgy tracksuits. (Kudos to him in this photo though as it looks as if it is adidas and not one of his homemade velvet tracksuits). This content is protected This content is protected
ANY fighter would give up their ABC title for a fight with somebody like Marquez.... besides Maidanna agreed to wait for the winner so whoever it is, keeps the title regardless. Shaw needs to get his facts straight. Just a typical loud mouth US promoter/manager talking **** again I think.
Don't like Shaw, but Khan's people aren't making these fights happen at 140 so he has a point. I believe Khan would fight Maidana, Bradley whoever, it's GBP and his old man that probably want to delay those crunch matches as long as possible.
I think it would be good for Bradley to fight on the international stage again. No doubt he's a good little all round fighter and has a lot of talent, but since beating Witter he's been taking on domestic opposition (Campbell, Holt, Peterson etc...) in the States. It would be good for him to bring his talent to the wider audience on the world stage I feel.
I watched the fight again a few nights ago, I looked at the clock in the 12th round; 15 seconds left and there is Shaw sitting in with his arms folded with a face like he had a promise from a liar. He then has the cheek to get up with 3 seconds left screaming at Lacy's corner to pull him out!!!! Lacy, could, and perhaps should, have been pulled out after the 7th round.
