Gary Shaw: I Rather fight Khan, Maidana or Ortiz First, They Have Losses

WHat did Amir say in that twitter message? missed that.

 

In a tournament, the #1 seed faces #4 with #2 facing #3. I don't care which criteria is used to rank them, but Maidana and Kahn are cleary numbers 3 and 4. This is legitimate and only Golden Boy is stopping it from happening.

I've noticed that few people in this forum seem to be able to spell "blatant" lol.

As for the matter at hand, don't worry too much about what Shaw or Bradley say. HBO wants Bradley-Alexander to happen so you can bet it'll happen in the pretty near future. And if Bradley happens to fight Maidana or Khan first, is it really that terrible? Aren't those terrific match-ups as well and wouldn't those guys be just as worthy to fight Alexander if they happen to beat Bradley before Alexander gets to him?

 

As long as we get to see Bradley against one of those 3 (or any other fights made between them for that matter), that'd work for me. I don't care if Bradley-Alexander happens straight off, as long as the top contenders there start facing each other. They're all entertaining fights.

 

I really hope Khan vs Bradley is made for Dec 11.

I understand people having different opinions of the rankings since the fighters are evenly matched, but there's certainly nothing CLEAR about having Khan and Maidana as number 3 and 4.

I would agree that Bradley is the clear number 1. Not only has he the deepest resume and has been on top the longest time - he has also beaten the best fighters (Holt, Witter before Alexander).

For my money, Khan is number 2. He's beaten Kotelnik by a commanding decision, who I value above Urango. I also happen to think Malignaggi would have a strong possibility of outmanouvering Urango, who siuts Paulie's style. This is Devons best win, and even if I think he'd probably beat Khan (at this stage) he has to PROVE it first.

Maidana has Cayo, Kotelnik (I had it a draw) and Ortiz. H2H I would have him at four, but accomplishment-wise he might be above Alexander.

2. Khan
3. Alexander
4. Maidana

1. Alexander
2. Khan
3. Bradley
4. Maidana

But its hard to predicct except for Maidana-Alexander, where I think Maidana at one point will walk into an Alexander counter. So; give me Khan vs Maidana and Alexander vs Bradley with the winners facing off!

Amir Khan isn't my favorite guy out there, but props to him for speaking out about Bradley. Bradley's gettin on his little Mayweather movement, saying certain guys don't carry the value he is looking for (Alexander, Ortiz) or that the top guys are DUCKlNG him (Khan, Maidana, Alexander.) Not just that, but it seems to be the other reason he's moving up to 147 is so that he can posture himself for May/Pac, who will both severly outclass him, even stop him, without cleaning up a division in which everything is still undecided and no one is ducking anyone (Khan is being protected.) Time for him to finish his business or shut up with the talking.

 

Man I can see this **** getting as bad as May/Pac.
