qcolts - it takes a very different punching technique to be effective with boxing gloves than being effective with bare knuckles/MMA gloves.

Any journeyman HW with a decent chin and good jab would EMBARASS Kimbo. All you have to do is last into the 3rd/4th round, and it would be over. When he's gassed - which he did in all of his street fights that lasted more than 2 minutes - he starts throwing arm-punches.

Arm-punches are still effective with no gloves. they are not at all with boxing gloves.

 

I am not saying Wlad wouldn't beat him. In fact in my post I said Wlad should dominate Kimbo. I said Kimbo has a chance if he can hit Wlad because Wlad does not exactly have an iron chin to say the least. The thing with Wlad is he can be knocked out by any heavyweight because his chin is so bad. Wlad is the most technically sound heavyweight offensively right now, but his chin is so weak.

 

There are not many fighters who can fight 3 minutes of every round for 12 rounds in HW either ;-) Just watch any fight (and that, unfortunately, includes most of title fights as well).

Kimbo is definitely entertaining, but he is not going anywhere either in boxing nor in MMA. Only people who doesn't follow MMA at all can think he is any good in that. He is more or less as good in boxing as he is in MMA.

 

Fair enough, Wlads chin is extremely weak, but I still cant picture I guy like Kimbo coming into the ring and even being able to land a punch on Wlad, before Wlad knocks him out cold. I do believe Kimbo has a good punching technique and power for a MMA fighter, but certainly not the capabilities to get in the ring with a top notch fighter like Wlad, and get a knockout, weak chin or not.

 

Peter can't KO McCline or Toney he ain't KO'ing Kimbo who has an iron chin. I'd give him a good shot at beating anyone just because he has 1 punch KO power unlike Scam ****ing Cheater.

The blood pouring. is NOT ketchup or movie stunt blood.

With that said do I beleive KIMBO is ready to enter the world of sanctioned boxing:
I have to disagree with any such thoughts.
Put him up against some real MMA fighters and he would get an ass kicking as well.
