The new opponent for Khan for feb 2nd is gary st clair tough customer who has been the ditance with Vivian Harris, Corrales, Baloyi and more has a decent record st clair good opponent but clever matchmaking again as they have a good opponent but is more of a super feather and khan is a big light weight khan could easily be big at lightwelter

He has a bit of pop at 130 though. He also has been in witha good level of comp. Good late replacement imo much better than the dane would have been in the first place.

So basically he his a blown up superfeatherweight. So who has he fought is he a former world champ, thats who warren said he was trying to get for khan. Granted it maybe a tougher fight than the dane.

The danish guy looked like a major step down. To be fair the guy did go the distance with Corrales at 130 and Vivian Harris at nearly 140 so I doubt that he will be intimidated by Khan.

So should be an ok fight for a guy with 15 fights?

Still, could be good to get him some rounds under his belt against a C+ fighter, so good choice.

St Clair is going be a be a great test for khan as , amir comes into his own , Amir will hve to fight his heart out to win this , who ever thinks this will be a easy fight for both fighters are so wrong

Khan will be the first to stop St clair in 6th round tko

To be honest I was more meaning the fact that he had a decent chin and would not just get blown away, like Earl.

The majority of fighters at this stage in their carrier are not fighting better fighters than Khan has/is fighting. If he fought that danish guy then that would have been a differnt matter.

Decent enough fight, he's been in with some tough competition, and he's only 32

Never been knocked out, so if Khan can achieve that it will be another feather in his cap

Great replacement opponent. St. Clair is a step-up because he can take a good punch, can give back a lot, not an over the hill fighter and went to distance with Harris and Corrales too.

Of course of the short time and because of Khan's physical advantage this could be another easy win but I think Warred has found the perfect 'beatable, not dangerous but still a good name' opponent.

St. Clair is ranked 12th in SFW by FN.

I dont have a problem, seems like a better fight than the Dane anyway.

I can see where warren is coming from, yes he did win a world title, yes he has gone the distance with some quality fighters, but that was a long time ago at a lighter weight, he is also 5' 4". Khan will looking good when stopping this guy.

Yea this is a good name opponent for Khan, but he will be much too big and strong for St Claire to actually threaten him with a loss. Still it's pretty good matchmaking for Khan at this point because St Clair at least brings world class skills to the table and will likely give Khan some of the best quality rounds of his career to this point.

st clair is a good boxer but he is feather fisted
i think the warren camp are still afraid to put khan in with a heavy puncher
should be a good fight and good to see st clair get the opportunity to shut all this khan hype up

Warren is very very afraid to put Khan in with someone who can bang.
I wonder how many legit Lightweight punchers Khan has faced.
