    prime for prime i say Lockett lights him up.. i mean he does have a murderous punch and a decent chin. would be entertaining..too bad lockett retired..

    Gary Lockett is a good club fighter, nothing more. He couldn't even handle Pavliks power and had to keep taking knees.

    He hits Lockett with a stiff jab, Gary takes a knee and either asks the ref to stop the fight or Enzo Calzaghe to throw the towel in.

    I am surprised his name didn't feature more prominently on the 2008 Quitter's List thread a couple of weeks ago - yet Cotto did!

    He embarrassed British boxing that night, I am glad he is retired.

    That he did. I was really hoping he'd do well and was rooting for him and he goes out there and gives that bull**** performance. We knew he didn't have much of a chance but he could have tried for god's sake!

    It wasn't so much his performance ... he could have fought the fight of his life but Pavlik would Knock him out no matter what.

    Gary started his career at 54 then moved to middleweight. Even if this fight happened tommorow Gary gets beat up. Anyway this thread is garbage.

    It was his performance too. Yes Lockett loses that fight 1000/1000 times. It was still a pitiful effort. He could have at least fought like he had a pair of balls.

    gary lockett is a quality fighter..i would rate him b list.. He actually punches harder than mayorga. mayorga would crap himself being stared down so harshly by the rocket

    thats probaly true

    however if he had done this he would have wan peoples respect as being outclassed but gave it a real game brave effort

    as it was his performance caused people to be resentful towards him as a quitter who never had the guts to give it a go in a oppurntity most fighters dream about having..............to fight for the World Middleweight Championship

    and he turned it into a taking knees excericise
