    :thumbsup

Gilmerton Vs moredun and Rival Gangs . . he's just made all his supporters sound really bad, (mcmillan)

Ive been on G Youngs Suppporters bus..filled wiv kids n' parents, young amateur boxers and a few auld yins like myself - fantastic crowd of locals.

its a bit pathetic the way he was trash talking, he's just made a fool of himself.

I decided to get a ticket for this event.

Despite the fact that as I already stated beforehand that the undercard fights are pretty much all one way traffic, you know what the result is gonna be before the fight starts.
Journeymen put the earmuffs on, prospects throw leather & mostly punch leather & win on points.

I like the main event(still have that horrible gut feeling that Youngs gonna pull out though) nothing beats a good grudge match!
I know McMillan has been annoying a few folk in this thread with his bravado, but hes done a good job of selling the fight. Im interested to see how he looks, cos I have never the kid fight before. Training in Freddie Roach's wildcard gym cant hurt though, eh?;)

Gary Youngs a fascinating character, he looked like he was going places and looked like a tremendous scottish prospect until his shocking 1st round KO loss to Colin McNeil. gary hasnt fought a great deal since then & has had quite a few injuries, so who knows of its its going to be the Gary Young of old, or an old Gary Young who turns up on the night? Thats one of the reasons im interested in the bout though.

Willie Limond fights a journeyman on the undercard. However, as a Limond fan Im looking forward to seeing him in action & was happy to hear that his fight is scheduled for 10 rounds, instead of another meaningless 6 rounder, at least if the fight goes the distance he will have more good rounds under his belt in preparation for HOPEFULLY a big fight that Willie deserves.

Also, it will be weird to watch guys fighting it out at the Pavillion, at least INSIDE the venue:yep

I bet you all the fighters on the card are privileged to be fighting at the same place as the Krankies perform on a regular basis:good

Interesting to see Young is trained by Willie Quinn and Paul Weir. if it's the same willie I'm thinking of, both trained by Peter Harrison all those years ago at Glasgow Transport.

Never quite made it willie. :-(

it is the same wille quinn - always in fantastic shape - i imagine he's be a great conditioner to have around.
he was twice fought for londsdale belt, was scottish middleweight champ and wbo inter champ.. 29wins 19KO's and 5 defeats..
plus Weir also brings bags of experience to the table and all of them have been trained by Peter Harrison so maybe it is the start of a successful team.

i was wondering why we hadn't seen any comeback comments from Youngs camp.. about mcmillan trash talk and found he had commented on his own website claiming he didnt say anything to brian donald from edinburgh news paper.

interesting read.. he sounds on the ball and extremely focussed.

maybe Weir and Quinn - wont show a gary young of old but a Newly improved Fighter!

I don't think many of the guys Peter had then got better when Peter and Tommy Gilmour split.

Did any of you guys see Quinns fight with Neville Brown?

    I did!

    Classic & controversial.

Broke my heart at the time that one did.

I was reading in today's Scottish Sun that Ricky Burns has now been added to the Pavillion card:thumbsup

Billy Nelson, do you have any info on this? And is Kris Hughes still on the card?

    Cheers

I'm tempted to splash out some cash for this even though I'm skint. Is there twenty pound tickets left?+
