Yesterday After a 3h30 training session i finished it off with three rounds of sparring, now im not the unfittest person in the world and I do alot of running but after the second round i was so tired i thought i was going to throw up, i dont usualy gas out this fast but yesterday it came to a point where even just throwing my jab felt impossible, and i really felt like my body was just not there, then to make things worse i started getting hardcore cramps in my calfs so i really couldnt move around as much as i wanted, end result i got clocked twice by a guy for whom it was the first time sparring, granted he only trained one hour that day so was fresher and weights 10Kg more than me( im 88Kg) but still im a bit worried ive got a fight in under a month...Should i re think about taking the fight and condition myself more( I mean i run everyday up a hill and train 5 times a week + twice at the gym and 150 push ups and 150 sit ups every day), or could that tiredness just come from the 3 hours of training? Or is it just my ring fitness htas crap and i need more sparring ?
Well, I think you answered your question your self, after 3 and a half hours training it´s nothing strange in being that tired. Try to take the sparring right after shadowboxing in the beginning of your training and then see how your stamina is. I think 3 hours training is way to long. But that´s my opinion, talk to your trainer they probably know what´s best for you. All the best the Predator
Your over training 3 hours is way two much. As Perdator said do your sparring after you have warmed up. No point leaving till last thing especially if you have done 3 hours. If you can 10 rounds sparring at a good pace your ready. Rember nervious energy is a ***** and will zap your enery a bit on fight night . Make sure you take it easy the 3-4 days before the fight give your body a chance to charge a little bit.
Seems like u are sparring @ the wrong time remember that saprring is a diffrent type of tranning. another poster spoke about nervous fatigue he could not be more right. It is a killer man. Make sure that u stay calm in there and if u get popped make the correction dont go "off" see Kelly Pav. His ring attitude is great. Never too high or too low. On days that i sparr i get to the gym & warm up then get to work. After u sparr u can train as hard as u wanna not before Know that sparring w guys from ur gym will be diffrent that fighters u dont know those can turn to psuedo fights of mini wars/fights lol! best of luck hope all goes well Detached909
ok thanks alot guys youve confirmed what i thought, ive been overtraining a little, Im just going to relax a little and build it up rather than go for a sudden increase, my coachs told me yesterday i needed some rest and i must admit im feeling tired all the time ( and look like death...)...Its just sometimes you can get so obssessed with getting fit and getting better you just forget to rest, training hard and working is just a *****....anyway thanx for your advice, Regards, Xoum.
