I like Ortega here, but watching him recently could be clouding my judgement. I just think his volume of punches would take it. But this would be fun
Close fight, I think Palomino's more sound infighting takes it. Could definitely go either way tho. Also not to sidetrack the thread, but do you think Ortega does better than Palomino did against Duran?
Hmm. I think he could actually, atleast at the start. This is a man who has wins over Gavilan and DeMarco. Palomino tried to outbox Duran in a classic fundamental way, which was never going to work against a master, unorthodox feinter. Ortega had size on Duran and has great durability at his best, so he could take the early ones from Welterweight Duran as it becomes and in fight. The first to stop Ortega was Griffith, who was a monster physically and much bigger than Duran naturally. Ortega also had hundreds of hard bouts. I'd pick Duran UD.
I think I'd agree. Although I've seen quite little of Ortega, I'm watching the Fernandez fight tonight. I'll have a complete opinion, and an actual thread, on it later. But just from the highlights I've seen I think he'd win rounds based on activity and I don't think he'd really care about Duran's feinting.
Never let the fact that you have seen very little of a fighter stop you from vociferously voicing yr unbending opinion. And good luck on the way to 20000 posts in 1 yr champ.
Never let the fact that your an arrogant wanker stop you from reading the rest of my post where I specifically say I don't have a complete opinion And good luck on the way to causing more great posters to leave champ
You'd have a good point if 1. Most of my posts are in general 2. Me, Rough, Mark and LaMotta were actively looking for aggressive arguments with insults with other posters.
