Who wins the war of the sluggers? Philly vs Mexico.

Mexican brawlers are always good, but the Philly brawlers are the best. Turner SD.

I love both these fighters. Two of the best 'value for money' fighters you will ever see. They wouldn't know what to do with todays 'fight once or twice a year' or avoid all the top fighters - type of game. But push comes to shove, I too, lean towards Turner.

I've been tossing and turning over this one since the thread was made, but I'm stumped. Gil was probably a bit more active, and had a shorter left hook but I also like to go for the guy with the better chin and Ortega was never stopped by Kid Gavilan. I also think Ortega tended to get better results in these types of brawls, but these two have been in some absolutely outstanding ward and I see no reason why this wouldn't rival them.

This could certainly end up a draw. I tend to go with Turner because he seemed to prevail more in big-name contests imo. Turner was the bigger puncher and had better stamina, and while both were equal in durability, I would stick with Turner. Ortega SD would certainly not be surprising. Ortega beat a few top fighters: Paret, DeMarco, Gavilan, Charley Scott and Isaac Logart.
