yeah i dont know why hes not in a hospital right now, 12 rounds of head and body shots and then gets knocked down 3 times. i dont understand people.
Dorticos showed his resilience and fought within the rules (ahem Ward) in a bitterly contested battle.Dorticos showed more class in defeat than Ward did in his "victory".
Too much pride, and I'm sure the organizers of the event wanted him there at the press conference if at all possible. I'm sure he will get checked out at a hospital soon, which is a relief.
What a great fight, and one in which both men emerged winners in their own way. I wasn't much of a fan of Dorticos before this, but even the most hardened hater must have been swayed by that awesome show of guts and heart. Props to both men.
A mans manners and actions maketh the man It says a lot about an individual Its missing in alot of todays world across all aspects of life Imo
Different people handle emotion differently. He probably feels like he let his people down. That isn't nearly as bad as Ali Funeka bawling after hearing he was robbed when the judges gave that majority decision to Nate Campbell. I felt bad for Funeka. I thought he won, and Campbell didn't even come close to making weight for the fight. Thought it was a real ***** move by Campbell to weigh in at 138. Funeka would have knocked his arse out had Campbell made the lightweight limit.
He also was likely severely concussed which in addition to his emotions can lead to that kind of reaction(Like Cormier after Jones II)
That's why I love the fighter Gassiev. The man spars heavies, never complains, trains incredibly hard, and is always willing to learn. He is a natural at fighting, and very few with limited experience have risen as fast as he has and fought at the level he has fought.
