I can actually understand what he's saying. Wilder's awkwardness and speed is a significant advantage
    to his offensive style.

He benefits from the same thing as Roy, Vitali, Manny and a lot of
other quick heavy handed people do. They're quick and throw
heavy shots at weird angles that you can't anticipate or really
defend against. Keith Thurman kind of does that too with some
    of his shots.

The highly skilled part, I'm still gonna take with a grain of salt. LOL

Any poster that thinks they know better than a world champion who's sparred both subjects he's talking on needs a reality check.

At no point did Gassiev say Wilder was more talented anyway.

That's fair. Skills are eye of the beholder. As long as you acknowledge Wilder's game plan I have no beef with you calling it horse****, great, or anything in between.

More powerful? Maybe, but first I would like to see wilder with world class oponent and how his power will work against someone with pulse.
He did not say wilder was more talented .
It will be very hard , maybe impossible for wilder to match Wlads achievements .
Wlad is a gold medalist and was an undefeated champion , best heavyweight for about a decade.

Yes, I'm sure a professional boxer who has wins over Dorticos and Lebedev knows nothing. But you on the otherhand, you have a lot of knowledge!

Knows nothing about Wlad, and he doesn't.

Wilders right is dynamite. Gassiev didn't say Wilder is more skilled, but more unorthodox. With that right hand, that quality is a great thing for him. I'm not sure it'd do quite as much damage if he threw it as compact and precisely as Wlad did- much of the effectiveness comes from the angle and wind up, despite what "the book" would tell you about the right needing to be as straight as possible. It's truly a devastating punch and plenty of greats could get one shotted by it.

Wlad is more by the books. An ATG textbook right. And with the left, both jab and hook, I think Wlad hits harder. Would've been a fun fight.

    Wilder can't box

& at no point in this article does MG say Wilder is more talented. He says more unorthodox & in his opinion more powerful. Which may or may not he true but WK is an old man so its not really surprising.

I’ve stopped reading that piece of trash of a post when you pulled the race card. This is the argument of someone that has no argument.

No one will argue he is the most powerful puncher in the heavyweight division. But beside that...

I think Gassiev makes an interesting case for Wilder. Unpredictable style, subtle but effective movement, a sneaky right cross. That sounds like dangerous fighter when coupled with punching power. Certainly poses some difficulties for Joshua.

Gassiev dislikes Klitschko because he got sent home from Wladimir's training camp few years ago. He seems to be salty because of that, therefore his opinion is to be taken with a grain of salt.
