    Awkward and unorthodox doesn't necessarily mean more talented, nor did Gassev say that.

    Wilder has a huge punch, he probably does hit harder than Wlad, but Wlad is far more skilled. But that also means in some ways, easier to fight.

    Also a word of warning, @GlaukosTheHammer Don't do the race thread next. It will be a waste of your time, because while I don't care all that much, because there is a racial component to all the WIlder hate, other mods will have an issue with and ban you for it.

    So if you have a beef about the race stuff, post it in our Lounge.

    Well Wlad’s “classic” approach worked pretty good against the “more talented” Wilder in sparring. Weird! Felt so bad about putting Deontey out with a jab that he bought him a ****ing cake. Lol


    And let us know when Wilder has even half as good a resume as Wlad. :thumbsup:

    The thing about that is I've been putting together work on Mendoza for sometime before I was made aware highlighting racism in boxing was a bannable offense. The work will be presented. I don't feel like I am calling anyone a racist. I feel like the 18th century HW Champ is and I'm just telling y'all about it. It's like I said in my opener, if the shoe fits that's not my fault. I don't understand why we'd rather have the type of poster who'd cry about Mendoza's Mendoza School than the type who can explain it and I'll not cosign that act or silence myself. I'll present the work and then the ball's in y'all's court. If you have to ban me do it bubba, I won't take it personal, just means ESB ain't for me. Not my first rodeo.

    I do honestly appreciate the concern, but there's a reason why I bounce for forum to forum. There's always some point where merely pointing out an instance in history, an academic truth, leads to being banned. I stopped caring a long time ago. All it means to me is this boxing forum, boxing forum, cares more about present politics than it does boxing history. I won't be party to such a community. I know my work is quality, I'm willing to bet my account I can speak to boxing's racism in a historical context and its effect on today without getting a ban. I know some will minge and call for my ban right away, but if I didn't have faith in academia, the work speaking for itself, I'd not be here. I believe in ESB, I believe in my level of research, I can tackle this subject. I am uniquely qualified.

    I hope you can respect that and EDIT not EDIT see it as me just brushing you off. I did consider you juxtaposition and exclusive knowledge of mod manners, but I'm kind of, I dunno....duty bound to the history for lack of better phrasing.

    If I go out at least I don't go out like a punk *****.
