Gassiev is still a great fighter!

    Despite the Usyk beatdown. Gassiev is a modern great cruiser aswell. The only difference is that Usyk is a generational talent. Losing to him doesnt say so much in reality. Gassiev was also tailor made for Usyk to prey on.

    Still see Gassiev as #2 though.

    Yes, he's a very good fighter. Gassiev is just age 24 and his best is yet to come.

    I'd rate him as the third best cruiserweight, behind the champion Usyk and top contender Briedis.

    He's young and was doing very well in the opening rounds. He needs to learn to jab though. That'll always be a weakness for him otherwise.

    He looked average as hell. But then he looked bad against a special talent, styles make fights and the style he faced last night just shut him down and made him look so bad. If the division was filled with more Uysks id say Gassievs days are numbered but its not.

    He looked a bit beat down in the end but how many shots did he take and kept coming forward, very hard man. Usyk style took over and made him look worse than he is, mid rounds some of the shots he was just missing with and some landing were meaty...Theres not many Usyk's about lol, he'll look and show how good he is in the future imo

    He was the #2 fighter in the division going in. That's always a big deal. Not P4P but a very very good fighter.
