Gassiev Overrated?

Undderrated as a CW due to one sided manor Usyk beat him ( there is no shame in it Usyk is class).

HW we will have to wait to see how he adapts. However I reckon he will become a legit top 10 fighter at HW amd I looking forward to seeing him make his HW debut.

first they will choose their favorite boxers to win the fight and hype them up make articles about why their chosen fighter will win .


then if their chosen fighter losses then they say . the other fighter was underestimated and that their fighter that lost was rated just right.


lol then the other guy loses and they jump up with a smile claiming he was overated

I think he's over rated. He has a good win against Dorticos, but Dorticos is fairly one dimensional with his jab jab right hand offensive output. He's partially been over rated as a way to prop up Usyk even more, which isn't needed. Usyk is top class. There isn't really room at heavyweight for a plodding behind the guard Arthur Abraham type. He will likely get outworked by anyone with a decent workrate, and good feet.

 

I'd like to see him back at CW.

Although, Gassiev/Whyte & Gassiev/Chisora would be barnburners.

 

Still would have loved to have seen him fight breidis at cw before moving up.

 

How does not fighting for a while because you're injured lead to you becoming overrated? That's some strange logic there.

No, Gassiev isn't overrated. If anything he's underrated due to the way he was dominated by Usyk, but wins over Lebedev, Wlodarczyk and Dorticos tell me he is, or was at the time, one of the premier small heavyweights in the world. Time will tell if he can return at the same level of form as he left, but if he's anywhere close to his CW iteration then HW bodies are going to start dropping left, right and centre.
