I have been studying this kid and I like him a lot, but he clearly isn't 6ft4, he was barely taller than 6ft1.5 Wlod and he looks shorter than Dorticos who is a tall 6ft3 maybe a fraction taller. I would say he is 6ft3 @ the very most.

Gassiev is absolutely made to order for AJ, AJ hits like a truck and is twice his size. Gassiev is pretty slow footed, come forward fighter with no special effects.

Gassiev will give a light punching small guy like Usyk all he can handle, but stylistically AJ is just a bad match up for him.

To be fair Dillian Whyte clearly isn't 6ft4 either he even admits he's 6ft3 just a tick over

    Fury 50/50
    AJ KO's Wilder
    AJ KO's Miller
    AJ KO's Ruiz
    AJ UD/KO Parker
    AJ UD/KO Ortiz
    AJ KO's Usyk
    AJ KO's Gassiev

    Much more realistic.

I know he hasn’t had much amateur experience so it’s no surprise he is still raw and for the level of amateur experience he has a lot of potential. I think Usyk is gunna outclass him for sure, I think Dorticos will be outclassing him for the majority of the early rounds but might get drawn into a fire fight which will lead to Gassiev blowing him away in the late rounds.

If he can work on his jab and foot speed he can be a very effective fighter and he has the time to do it. So your right he may improve a lot however that division is very dangerous to do it in.

I saw the fight. My thing is, is he quick enough and have the right footwork to counter Joshua? Usyk have, but based on what i seen Gassiev do. Im not sure.

In the voice of Princess Leia - "Help me cruiserweight division, you're my only hope"

It's been incredible hearing how much some people want to see AJ get turned over. I never really envisioned he could be a Mayweather type with people tuning in to see him get beat, but here we have it. Of course he will have the best of both worlds with such a strong casual support who think the sun shines out of his arse.

For what it's worth the cruisers probably are your best hope. I'd give Usyk a much better chance than Gassiev though (even though I do like the guy).

Not sure to be honest, I think Joshua is just too big and too strong. I like Gassiev and enjoy watching him but think this might be a bit unrealistic.

I think that could be AJ trying to fight smart and work on what he has been taught in the gym more so than him questioning his own chin.

Anthony Joshua is not only bigger than Gassiev, he's a better FIGHTER than Gassiev, and he may be quicker. Gassiev has had seven fights go the distance, Joshua has had NONE, and guys like Kingpin Johnson and Whyte are known for their toughness, so I don't see it.

Joshua's people would LOVE to make a fight with a 220lb guy who walks foward with his hands up for 12 rounds tomorrow.

Gassiev would probably be turtled up all 12 rounds. If they were the same height, it would be a different story. That reach is hard to get through though, as Wlad showed us for so many years. Joshua isn't a skinny, yet pudgy guy like Dorticos. He is a big hulking guy with big power, and reach.

If Gassiev is standing after round 5 and Joshua gasses like against Takam then he's in trouble.

I think Joshua will get outboxed by speed and movement, that's how he would lose.
