Anyone else love to see this fight? I think it's the most winnable high profile match to be made at HW for Gassiev, personally. Povetkin poses no huge size or reach problems, has a very comparable style to Gassiev, loves to in-fight, and while tough has proven he can be hurt by smaller men. I'd actually favour Gassiev to win this, as I think Povetkin is on the slide at this point, and things that he does well Gassiev does just that little bit sharper and better. Thoughts on this matchup?
Was thinking about this fight as well. I think Alexwander Powetkin's experience will make it a 60/40 fight in his favour. Murwat Gawsiev has still room for improvement being 24 years old. In 2 years, things could be different. Either Powetkin and Gawsiev both beat Wilder, thats a certainty.
He's already lost to one Cruiserweight in Huck, and he'd lose albeit more violently to another in Gassiev. Great fight, it needs to be made automatically! It should happen before the Usyk match, so when Usyk beats Murat, he'll have the guy that KO'd Povetkin on his resume.
Gassiev would outwork and UD Povetkin. Its not the best first fight for him at HW though, he should have a tune up first. He may carry his power up to HW too, we dont know at this stage
