My heavyweight was very much synonimous with being labelled a gatekeeper for a long time, but as of recent he has been picking off a few unbeaten prospects, Like Shane Cameron and Alonzo Butler, In many peoples eyes does anyone value Friday Ahunanya above Gatekeeper standard .. any opinions on Friday , i am always interested on honest opinions.. God Bless y'all and a great Christmas to everyone who post here at ESB.. all valuable in your own special way.. peace fellers....
Jameel McCline has gotta be the leading gatekeeper of the HW's. I can't believe so many of you are overlooking him.
McKart just lost a UD to Karmazin last Saturday. He's 3-3-1 over the last couple years. He's 1-2-1 against decent opposition. As much as I like Bronco, I don't think he even holds gatekeeper status anymore.
A gatekeeper is a contender who poses a stiff test for an up and comer but doesn't always rise to the occassion ... they may have had a title fight, may have even won a championship ... but hasn't shown consistancy or longevity in their respected divisions. Some of these guys have good records but haven't stepped up in competition as well -- I would consider Andrade a gatekeeper ... Zab Judah Sakio Bika Allan Green Estrada
Yeah thats how i see it when i posted my responses earlier. Jeff Lacy is another heading towards journeyman status as well.
