Brickhause - I am well aware that you are a knowledgeable Boxing Fan and know that a Fighters age is not measured chronologically, but by number of fights. Lemieux has 25 Pro Fights and has been brought along VERY SLOWLY. And it's kind'a sad to see that forums have been giving the kid the utmost respect, yet fighters with the same number of fights, including several fighters with less fights, that have been stepping up for over a year now...and they get called OVERRATED....:think Hmmmm wonder why?

Andre Dirrell - 19-1 And entered the Super 6 in his 19th Pro Fight.
Andre Ward - 23-0 And he entered the Super 6 in his 21st Pro Fight.
Devon Alexander - 21-0 Just beat 3 former title holders and fighting Bradley next.
Timothy Bradley - 26-0 And in his 20th Pro Fight, he went "across the pond" and took the title from Witter..then consecutively fought Cherry, Holt, Campbell, Peterson, Abregu and if you recall, he actually had a SIGNED contract to fight Maidana (Maidana pulled out due to injury)
Andre Berto - 27-0 he gets BASHED DAILY here in ESB. And he just took a "stay busy" fight. Why is it ok for Lemieux and not Berto?:think
Even the fighter in your Avatar has fought Ishe Smith in his 18th Pro Fight along with Mike Walker and tough vet Ossie Duran (who went the distance with James Kirkland).

I just don't understand why it's considered BLASPHEMY as ask for Lemieux to step-up in competition, but for "certain" fighters that do (within less fights than Lemieux) , and because they don't win in a 1st KO or they go the distance...THEY ARE CONSIDERED BUMS...HMMMM:think. Strange huh?

Nice list but the difference is that all the boxers in your list got great amateurs experience what Lemieux didn't , and at 22 Lemieux doesn't have the same physical maturity!

A fighter's age is not measured by number of fights dumbass it's measured by years as a pro.

Ward, Dirrell, Berto, Bradley, and Alexander have been pro's for over 6 years, Lemieux has been a pro for less than 4

because Lemieux is a "certain" kind of fighter, you are so quick to criticize.

You are so quick to accuse everyone of holding double standards against black fighters, but I think you need to take a long hard look in the mirror and come to grips with reality. You're the one with the double standards.

If Smith was offered this fight with 6 weeks notice,I don't see where he gets off saying it's not enough time-unless he doesn't want the fight or is grossly out of shape.

Hey my man...You are not talking to one of those IDIOT NEWBIE PACQUIAO FANS that doesn't know a damn thing about Boxing. I followed Pro, Amatuer, Jr. Amatuer and Armed Forces Boxing. Lemieux was an EXCELLENT Amatuer (a 3-Time Canadian Champion). So you can save that lack of Amatuer experience BS.

Look, no-one is asking Lemieux to fight King Kong or Jesus Christ. I just don't understand why wanting to see him step-up in competition is considered BLASPHEMY by the ESB crowd.

    Calm down!!!! relax!!!!

All the fighter you're talking about when to the Olympics and were older then Lemieux! and don't forget that Ayala was a good step-up , Camacho Jr a different style that David needed to face for his experience and Gates just a stay-busy fight!

In April he will fight Rubio for an eliminator , not that bad for a 22 years old kid!

Yeah maybe I'm to harsh on him but Tyson, Benitez and probably many others were already champ at this age. He simply destroy anyone in front of him, its REALLY time to step up a bit, no?
