    Micky.

Gatti had a good chin, but he wasn't hard to hurt. It was kind of weird, it was like Gatti needed to get initially hurt or dropped to really wake up. Then after the initial shot(s) that hurt or drop him, he suddenly is able to take massive amounts of punishment.

Ward seemed harder to hurt. He got hurt by Green, and by a shot to the eardrum by Gatti, but I can't think of too many other fights. Although I haven't seen that many of his fights before he took that time off.

well i dont think hes "acting". when you're getting hit in the face, you dont really think "oh, now's a good time to work on my acting skills". it's just how he is, and that's why people call him the human highlight film.

but ward didnt win convincingly augustus was started to get into the rhythm by no means a one sided defeat.

pound for pound gatti by a fair but solid margin ward though has a body left hook that has made the toughest men fall to the knees and cried.

even though wards technique is awful his punching technique was very good.

but augustus throws alot of shots and augustus when he settles down and doesnt clown is by far the better boxer than gatti defence is better and is hard to find...gatti can box but he is easy to hit as he doesnt move his head this would be target practice for auugustus and as manny cant finish him with a power shot, he wont get sucked in to trade the hards shot he will wear gatti down while gatti does all the power punching until...gatti is exhuasted by the body shots and punches to the face were manny will be all over him for the rest of the fight.

I don't even consider Gatti a fighter, and EA has the discipline of a 15-year-old girl with ADHD at the Mall of America.

    Bum Fights.

Gatti was a much more powerful puncher. Ward could crack the left hook to the body but was much more an attrition fighter.

Gatti would have most likely outboxed Augustus and outworked him. Remember in '02, Augustus was sandwiched between a horrible beating at 135 at the hands of Dorin and a total washout loss to Omar Weis. In between he drew with old Leavander Johnson in bad desert heat where his punch output dropped, and one good win over Vilches.

Gatti was simply the better fighter in '02.

It was a clear loss. If this, what that-- facts are Augustus was dropped by a body shot in the 9th and lost the fight, i had it 96-93. Close, yes, but a loss nonetheless.

Gatti held a jr. lightweight and jr. welterweight world title.

Please enlighten us as to how being a world champion makes one a "bum?"
