Good post. Gatti had an excellent jab and great legs, and he takes unfair abuse from 'false purists' who bash him as just a brawler. Like you said, he was defensively flawed so won't beat the very best, but he'd still give a good account of himself against most fighters below that. And man, when he set his punches up he could punch with the best of them, basically as hard as Matthysse.
