as far as i know Naz never fought at 130lbs

you make some good points but Gatti can decision Naz.

To win a decision you dont need to outbox and opponent or be the better 'boxer' so to speak.

You score rounds on clean punches scored, Ring generalship and Defence/Aggresion. So if Gatti comes out throws alot of punches lands a few clean punches and controlls the action with effective aggresion he can win the round.

Yes gatti does have the size. Naz would have those things except from power at 126lbs but would they carry up with him.For example would he still have the better speed as Gatti had underated speed and Naz wanst exactly Meldrick taylor at 126lbs so it is a possibility that Naz could go up and lose that speed and maybe be on par withGatti for speed.

Power is not in Nazs favour IMO. Naz hit ard but so did Gatti and Gatti is naturally bigger and would weigh alot more on fight night Naz would barely go above 130lbs on fight night Gatti would probably be nearer 140lbs! so i would give him the edge in power. Also Gatti would be able to take Nazs punches better.

yeh a tall boxer puncher with good power. Got a bit excited though and would sometimes brawl but underrated skills at SFW.

good post BTW agree almost 100%

Hoya... Outboxing Micky Ward is nowhere near as impressive as outboxing a prime Tracy Harris Patterson. Patterson was a far better fighter then Tom Johnson. I'm not a Naz hater as you know but Hatton showed absolutely no inclination to mix it at 130 despite claiming he would be a multi weight World champion. He prob could have been at least a three weight if guided correctly. Orzubek Nazarov was WBO lightweight champion around that time and light welter champ was Sammy Fuentas. Both very beatable.

Gatti CRUSHES Naz in a few rounds - the fight night weight difference would be obscene. Gatti walks him down, bullies him inside and pummels him before Naz can do much. There's NO guarantee that Naz could bring his power up even one weight class and it's hilarious how people assume he could.

I was first of all going to reply the the post quoted below, but then I saw the one I've quoted above.

I'm just going to guess that you're a wind-up merchant, if you're not then you have my pity.

Very good point Gatti when he stuck to the jab was a very good. But as Pater says i think he would get excited and go into war mode

yeh he does get excited and HOS made some good points (i nearly called you your old name HOS) he did box well but he didnt have the mentality

but would going into a war mode hinder him against Naz?

Yep and then Hamed would have been truly ****ed. Look how he was against Ingle and Augie Sanchez who were similer fighters to Gatti in a sense they came to 'have it'.

But he never fought a super feather in his entire career, let alone one that of Gatti's stature. He was a big puncher but there is nothing to suggest he would have made any impression on Gatti's iron jaw.
