    Scintillating fight.

Ruelas probably didn't have much left mentally by this time but Arturo was so easy to hit that Gabe couldn't help but tee off on him. Gatti again proves that he didn't know how to have a dull fight as he couldn't resist brawling even with a guy who in light of the Jimmy Garcia tragedy wasn't the fighter he was. Still it was a great effort by both guys and another Gatti FOTY.

    **** I miss Gatti.:-(

at his BEST, WHO is the BEST he could beat?

he was a lovely boxer, not a slickster or sylist, but a lovel boxer all the same, and we all know he could fight. So WHO is the very best he could have mixed it with?

Maybe if Gatti and De La Hoya fought together in there primes....It might have been a little better to watch...but I doubt it

Heh, I remember watching this bout as it was being broadcast back when I was a teen. It was the first Gatti I saw and made me a fan for life.

Let me guess: the other three are Ward I, Robinson I, (my personal favorite) and Rodriguez?

Nah, totally different classes of fighter. Arturo at his best versus a green Oscar that was killing himself to make weight, maybe. But in any other theoretical matchup I think Oscar kicks ass, and I was always a major detractor of Oscar while he was active.

I'd probably take the Mancini of the Arguello fight to outlast Gatti.

I assume that's Rattler's answer to who was the best that Gatti could have beaten.

For my part, I'd have to disagree, at least with regards to Mancini before the Kim fight.
