Valero wasn't looking for the knockout against DeMarco; he was boxing, and boxing very cautiously for his standards. And he still outboxed and stopped DeMarco, who was a skilled and up-and-coming contender.

 

Doesn't explain why he would knock Gatti out in 4 rounds though.

And he clocked Valero with many hard shots in that fight, hardly a testament to his fabled one punch knockout power.

 

Edwin was a powerful accumulation puncher not a true 1 shot Guy. Arturo would never know when to quit and could literally be killed by the beatdown as in Mancini vs Kim. I see 12th round Tko win for Inca then Arturo tragically lapsing into a coma while in the hospital.

WOuld have been a war but in the end valero would have put a serious hurting on Gatti.
