Gatti/Ward is the most overrated trilogy of all time.

the trilogy does get lots of hype but those two warriors deserve it. they wernt pussys. they fight whenever and whoever. they were made from an old breed of boxers long ago.

gatti ward fights were great because those type of fights bring casual fans to the sport. It was a good trilogy and is definiteley good for the sport.

 

Vasquez-Marquez was the real deal.

Gatti-Ward was two average guys hitting each other because neither of them had any defence. Exciting when you're a noob, but once you appreciate the nuances of the game Ward-Gatti trilogy does not cut it.

Come on Fleaman don't be a snob. Both guys lacked in the technical department but the heart showed was absolutely insane and that alone makes the 1st fight a classic.

 

Despite the fact that two of the Rafa-Izzy fights ended by tko and both guys were hurt numerous times over the three fights?

Ali and Frazier didn't have the power to ko each other and neither could Morales and Barrera. Are those trilogies overrated as well?

 

it was an amazing display of will and the human spirit, hating on that trilogy? You really have nothing better to do than take shots at guys who laid their lives on the line from your keyboard?

Get ****ing real, the first fight was awesome, round 9 was insane, both guys had so much heart, something i bet the op does not have, silly to say they were not great, because most would agree they were, maybe both men were not the best, but then again did either guy ever say they were the best ?
