Of course it'l be a couple of years he's had 5pro FIGHTS, what im saying is he's shown gr8 promise and skill far above his pro experience, how can u not be impressed?? So when he wins world titles you'l change your user name then? :D

 gets my vote dan. Back to the thread, Gavin- british title end of the year or 2 soon? I think out of the olympics to make the switch in 09 he's the most likely to reach that level 1st

If/when he beats McDonagh as comfortably as I believe he will i'd like to see him face Barry Morrison then Colin Lynes then go staright for Daws (if Daws still has it). I believe he can beat Daws now but a couple of tough 10 rounders against Lynes and Morrison will no doubt help.

To be honest though you can't blame anyone if its left a bit longer before he goes for them fighters as he is progressing on superb fashion as it is, but I think we have a fighter on our hands there with Gavin who can go on to have success like that of ODL. Tough early fights and get him a title shot in relative quick fashion and I can see him going on to surpass Hatton in terms of achievements and success. I would take Gavin to be a multiple world champ at different weights :good

    I hope so anyway

Maybe, 5ft 10 and huge @ l/w so at 24 he's got plenty of time to move up to l/m tho im not sure he'd be able to carry his power up that heavy. V early to tell, defo the likes of lynes, theophane etc b4 in the summer/autumn and potentially daws or whoever has the british title b4 2010s done. Exciting times. How bout degale? I think with his style its still gonna take longer for him to adjust to the pro's and eliminate his amateur traits

I'm not so sure on what DeGale will achieve to be honest mate. I was having this out the other day with somebody. His technique is very poor in my eyes and I remember in his last fight when he threw 3 consecutive left hooks with 'intentions' - None of them were particularly hurtful and I was shocked to see a pro throw that combo. I think he's pretty small for the weight and we know he can make 160.

With Warren, then he could possibly get to a cheap World title and probably a Euro too. I think it will take much more careful matchmaking from Frankie to get him ANYWHERE near the level Gavin will reach
