He looks really good and how he should for every fight. Nevertheless he should have the engine, speed and punch output to make things interesting, maybe even win. If broner finds his timing thats when it could look like a poor mans floyd vs ricky.
I don't rate Rees and I didn't rate Gatti. But, what exactly makes Gatti such a proposition compared to Rees? He never beat a true world-class opponent. Neither has Gavin. Gatti may have faced better opposition, but they all beat him senseless. Anyway, you've misunderstood what I'm saying. Basically, Gatti was a club fighter, Floyd was a pure bred scientist. Rees is a club fighter and Broner is a mid-tier fringe world-class operator based on his performances. You've completely overrated Broner.
Rees's skills are up there with Gatti, probably has a better defence although that hasn't been tested to the same standards. He's very undersized and lacking power in comparison, though. It doesn't really matter if Broner is anywhere near Mayweather, this ought to be cannon fodder for a guy with his skillset. There will be something seriously wrong with his mental makeup if he allows himself to fall apart against somebody like Gavin with the vast chasm that seperates these two in nearly all departments.
