    Round 1 Vargas 10-9
    Round 2 Vargas 10-9
    Round 3 Vargas 10-9
    Round 4 Vargas 10-9
    Round 5 McDonnell 10-9 Close

Gavin a lot more active, hooks Vargas to the body, Vargas goes down, but ref doesn't count it as such, it should have been, Gavin goes all out almost lands low blow, Vargas lands flurry downstairs, Vargas jabbing off the back foot lands a few left hooks, Gavin lands another hard left hook to the body, Vargas fires back with one of his own.

Gavin McDonnell vs. Rey Vargas 12 Rounds @ Super Bantamweight

Round 1. Vargas 10-9. Good round for Vargas, clearly on top although nothing major landed.
Round 2. Vargas 10-9. A bit closer, but Vargas did the better work again.
Round 3. Vargas 10-9. Very much like Round 1. Vargas warned for a low blow, I sense point deduction coming.
Round 4. Vargas 10-9. Closest round so far, but Vargas still winning it. McDonnell pushed Vargas to the ground midway through.
Round 5. McDonnell 10-9 very very close. Basically a pick 'em round, I'm pretty sure it went to McDonnell

    R2 McDonnell 10-9
    R3 Vargas 10-9
    R4 Vargas 10-9
    R5 McDonnell 10-9

That body shot seemed to hurt Vargas some. Didn't look like a kd but ever since that McDonnell controlled the round

Gavin finally started to gain some success, but a wicked right hook by Vargas was easily the best punch of the fight, Gavin did well to take it. He's showing a good punch resistance tonight.

Vargas is seriously fading. If McDonnell had power he could knock him out.
